Summer Session and Summer Camps

Summer 2024 Classes and Camps will be held in June, July and August 2024.

Class Placement

Students are evaluated on an individual basis. Placement in levels is made with each student’s best interest in mind. The school faculty meets regularly to discuss the student’s progress and/or placement. It is our policy to offer appropriate opportunities to every child. Placement decisions are derived from many years of teaching experience. Placement is highly individual and the factors that go into the decision are complex. All levels at Longwood Performing Arts are two-year levels, unless advised by the instructor.

Attendance

The importance of attending class on a regular basis cannot be stressed enough! Students learn and progress with consistent attendance.

Class Make-Up Policy

When a student must miss a class due to illness, vacation, etc., it is your responsibility to make-up the class on your own. If there is not another class of the same level, speak to your instructor about another make-up class. Please be aware that the studio bases its schedule and finances on a student’s commitment to the class and we cannot deduct for classes missed. Please notify the front desk when you are making up a class.

Code of Conduct

It’s our philosophy to encourage our students to feel, think, and act respectfully to their peers, the adults in their lives and themselves. Proper respect for the directors, faculty and staff is expected of the students and their families. Longwood Performing Arts reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student whose attendance or conduct is found to be unsatisfactory.
