In-Studio Recital

Our In-Studio performances are a wonderful way for the younger dancers (ages 3-4) to experience performing, within the safe and comfortable environment of our studios. We provide seating for all parents, grandparents, and friends of our young performers.

Date: Saturday, May 20, 2017 Location: Longwood Performing Arts
633 West Cypress Street
Kennett Square, PA 19348

At Longwood Performing Arts, we have an “In Studio Recital” for the Division 1 classes to introduce both you, the parents, and the students to what is involved in creating and participating in a performance. It is a wonderful opportunity for young students to perform in front of an audience and learn what is expected for a performance. The performance will follow with a brief reception for all friends and family. The cost of each costume will be $90.00. Tights and shoes are not included. They must be purchased separately. The office must be notified if a student will not be participating in the In Studio Performance. Further information regarding each recital will be provided in the fall.

Recital Costumes

In order to participate in the In-Studio Recital, the students must wear a costume.  The cost of the costume is $90.00.  You cannot participate in the In-Studio Recital without a costume.  A $45.00 deposit for each costume ordered is due by December 1, 2016.  The remaining balance ($45.00) is due by February 1, 2017.  This is a non-refundable deposit, as the costumes are paid in full when they are ordered

Costumes will be distributed when all outstanding balances for the season (including tuition) are paid in full.  Enclosed you will find a final statement for the dance season with your current account balance.  All balances are due May 1, 2017.  Tuition amounts for all Ballet/Tap 1 students will be adjusted accordingly for the month of May 2017.  The In-Studio Recital day will be the final day the class meets. Please try on all costumes and accessories (except for tights) as soon as you bring your costumes home.  To ensure that there are no costume problems, students should not wear their costumes, accessories, or tights prior to their photo session, dress rehearsal/performance.  Please make sure that all accessories stay with each costume.  We do not have any extras.

Tickets

At the In-Studio Recital, tickets are not required.  Due to room size we ask that you bring only 4 guests aside from the parents of the students.

We also encourage each family at Longwood Performing Arts to attend the 2017 Annual Student Performance.  The performances will be held at Dickinson High School in Wilmington, DE on Friday, May 26, 2017 and Saturday, May 27, 2017.

This year Dance Recital Ticketing will be hosting our Ticket Sales.  There are two ways to purchase your tickets.  Prior to the performance, tickets will be sold ONLINE ONLY.  On the day of the performances, a ticket table will be open for purchases in the Lobby at John Dickinson High School.  Dance Recital Ticketing will make purchasing your tickets easier and more convenient.  Ticket purchasing is open 24 hours.  Tickets will go on sale at a later date.  For your convenience, tickets are printable at the time of purchase.  An interactive map of the theatre will be shown on the site to select your seats.  Handicapped seating will be marked clearly.  No refunds or exchanges will be accepted.

For additional information or questions feel free to call the Studio Office at 610-444-6144.  Help is also available at the Box office help desk on the site.

Last but not least, thank you to all of the dancers for your hard work and parents for all of your support.  It has been a pleasure for the staff at Longwood Performing Arts to teach these incredible dancers and put together these performances.
